Bookings and cancellations

Booking:

Responsible orderer must be of legal age ( 18 years )
The guest order via online booking, email, or telephone.
A written booking is binding on both parts.
The booking is considered completed when it has been confirmed in writing by Sognefjord Ferie.
Reservations are not covered by the Cancellation Act, cf. section 19, paragraph 22.

Arrival / departure:

The cabin / apartment is at the guest's disposal from 16:00 day of arrival. Prior arrival must be arranged.
Check out by noon 12:00 departure day. It must be agreed upon for a later check-out.
Upon arrival, the guest must pay for the stay in accordance with the agreement.
On arrival later than kl.18:00, the guest must inform Sognefjord Ferie.
Guests must make sure to buy groceries and other supplies before arrival. The nearby stores have short opening hours.

Cancellation and no-show:

For stays over 7 days:

The guest has booked a long time in advance and a deposit of approx 20% is payed.
If cancellation occurs within 6 months prior to arrival the deposit, minus fees, will be refunded..
If cancellation is less than 6 months prior to arrival, the deposit will not be refunded.
Full rental price will be charged within 1 month before arrival. If cancellation after this date, the guest must pay 100% of the stay.

For stays of 6 days or less:

Sognefjord Ferie charges 100% of the stay at the time of booking.
The guest is free to change/ cancel up to 7 days prior to arrival and will get refunded, ,minus fees.
If cancellation later than 7 days before, 50% of the stay will be refunded.
If cancellation later than 3 days before arrival there is no refund.
In case of no show there is no refund.
Changes and cancellations must be notified in writing to Sognefjord Ferie to be valid.

In case of illness, the stay is paid by the guest, unless change/ cancellation occurs within the aforementioned deadlines.

The guest is responsible for having valid travel insurance in case of cancellation according to the applicable deadlines.
